Annalie’s paintings are as unique as the woman herself. One never knows which abstract will emerge from the canvas. Energetic brush strokes of paint splash across the canvas. Palette knives drag deep, rich tones on surfaces of varying sizes creating complex layers of texture and self-expression. Found in each piece, are impressions drawn from Annalie’s travels throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
The Artist’s work has been in various juried art shows, including The Manayunk Arts Festival, Widener University, The Berman Museum at Ursinus College, Barnstone Gallery, Trappe Community Music School, and the Wayne Art Center. “Romance” was featured in the Spring 2009 edition of Philadelphia Stories magazine.
Annalie’s latest work can be viewed at the Fountain Hills Artists Gallery in Fountain Hills, Arizona; as well as, in her Phoenixville, Pennsylvania studio. The First Friday evening of every month one can visit her at the Upstairs Studio Artists building on Bridge Street in Phoenixville, PA. Other works currently hang in private homes and area corporations.
Annalie’s passion and creativity has been formed by the varied experiences of her life. While holding a high regard for artistic expression close to her heart, Annalie has moved through a variety of work experiences and business ventures. She became a successful entrepreneur in the hi-tech computer world, co-creating and building a company in the mid-80’s and 90’s.
Life’s journey has brought her to this place and time where she can translate her experiences into evocative paintings. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University helping push her through the world of business to a life of artistic expression, Annalie is now free to unleash her true creative powers.
In 1994 Annalie discovered the majestic beauty of the great Southwest. Much of her inspiration and solace comes from the endless blue skies and stillness of the Sonoran desert. She continues to maintain a residence in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
