I’ve gone through a lot of wire! But, my meticulous work is worthwhile in the end, as my profits are donated to a charity close to my heart. Net proceeds are sent to Deneke’s Hope Foundation. The money is spent to feed, clothe, educate, and care for the orphans of Ethiopia.
Equipped with pliers, soldering tools, cutters and wire, I drill tiny holes in the polished pewter and securely wire on silver beads, and/or natural stones. I embellish such polished pewter pieces as serving forks and spoons, bowls, trays, spatulas, demitasse spoons and casserole dishes.
Service ware is my specialty but I also wire beads onto picture frames, mirrors and produce baby keepsakes. I’m always looking for new polished pewter pieces to embellish because I think they’re such a nice “canvas”.
