From as far back as I can remember, while painting with my Grandma Zee, I have always found myself at peace while holding a paint brush. It did not take long before I realized I was in my own little heaven each and every time I was in front of a canvas, paint brush in hand. By the time high school was coming to a close, I found little encouragement in pursuing my dream of becoming a professional painter from the people around me.
Upon graduation, I made the decision to pursue a degree in graphic design. After graduating from college, I found myself quite unhappy in the corporate world, so I made the decision to go back to my passion and see what I could make of doing what I do best. I soon found myself specializing in painting, both watercolor and acrylic, abstract women on various forms of material.
After a few successful years of being on my own, I had the fortunate chance to cross paths with my current employer, Michelle, owner of 95 and Sunny. I soon found myself entrenched in the excitement of Michelle's company and was soon given the title of art director.
Today, as art director of 95 and Sunny, I am finding great joy and happiness in not only coming up with new designs for the company, but also assisting other artists as they attempt to accomplish the same goals I have accomplished for myself. I have recently gotten married and moved back to Fountain Hills in our first home. My husband and I are working on my own studio, and I can't wait. Honestly, being an artist is what I was "meant to be", and I couldn't be happy doing anything else.
