I am both self taught and have had the last eight years of training with a local artist from Phoenix.
My art is basically acrylic on canvas. I use both canvas to be framed and gallery wrapped canvas. Occasionally I will paint on water color paper.
Portraits are painted from photographs and my still life art is designed from a large inventory of pictures I’ve collected over the years of Indian pottery, blankets, moccasins and also, artifacts from my home.
I begin with a thin coat of paint and build layers until I’m content with the quality of the color. All my painting is vivid in color and completely realistic.
I am honored to have had the opportunity to paint, family, friends, their children and grandchildren.
I hope I’ll have many more years of the enjoyment I get from expressing myself on canvas.
