DONNA LAW

Arizona native Donna Law has been designing and creating fine jewelry for nearly five decades. Her earliest memory of her passion for jewelry began as a child, dreaming of clouds raining sparkling gemstones she would gather by the handful. Encouraged by her father, an artist and sculptor, and inspired by an 8th-grade art teacher who shared jewelry-making techniques before class, Donna’s lifelong creative path was set in motion. She began her professional jewelry career in 1974 while still in high school, apprenticing under a master craftsman—a rare opportunity at the time. Over the years, she has studied with some of the great masters in the field, completed GIA diamond courses in Santa Monica, California, and taken various art and design classes to refine her skills. She continues to live and work in New River, Arizona, where she designs and handcrafts her distinctive jewelry.

Donna’s work reflects both artistry and precision. Every piece she creates is fully handcrafted—from concept and detailed sketches to alloying gold, carving wax models, casting, soldering, and complex stone setting. She works with all precious and semi-precious gemstones, combining metals, textures, and forms in imaginative ways. Her commissioned pieces, including high-value custom designs reaching into six figures, are known for their craftsmanship and individuality. Donna’s design process is deeply collaborative: she listens to her clients, sketches concepts, and co-creates with them to craft jewelry that expresses their personality, confidence, and style. Her unconventional methods of setting stones and combining shapes and colors give each piece its own voice, setting her work apart from mass-produced designs.

I am inspired by connection—between people, materials, and meaning. I see each client as a collaborator, helping me uncover what they want to express about themselves through jewelry. The process unfolds organically as I design, shape, and bring each piece to life. My inspiration also stems from the beauty of gemstones themselves—their light, color, and energy—and from my lifelong love of craftsmanship. My goal is to create jewelry that is not only beautifully made, but that also reveals something personal about its wearer: confidence, sophistication, and authenticity.
